Diffused is the latest release from New Zealand Drum and bass duo The Upbeats, featuring 2 brand new originals (Diffused and Undertaker) and remixes of the title track from S.P.Y. and Opiuo.
Being released on Noisia’s Vision Recordings, you can expect to hear the dark styled drum and bass that label owners Noisia are known for. Diffused uses deep rolling sub bass and crazy percussion/Breaks patterns to bring out a tune that is absolutely full of energy.
Undertaker is a full-on neuro jump up tune with a real Noisia-esque glitched out bass line.
The S.P.Y. remix offers a different take on Diffused with a more straightforward approach to the drums and an epic offering of sub bass whilst still retaining the overall vibe of the original.
Opiuo takes us away from Drum and bass and the dark vibes with his Glitch hop remix of Diffused. Funky as all get out Opiou managed to expertly string together what was once a very dark tune into a tune with a more upbeat vibe (no pun intended…)
